PSU-MIRT News

The PSU-MIRT program is proud to announce that it has received a four-year renewal of its grant from the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health. This grant funding will enable us to continue offering the PSU-MIRT summer research training for underrepresented U.S. minority undergraduate and graduate students through the summer of 2009.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Department of Biobehavioral Health, College of Health & Human Development, The Pennsylvania State University, all of the research mentors at our foreign research sites, and especially all of the PSU-MIRT trainees over the last six years who conducted themselves as stellar ambassadors for their home colleges/universities and for the U.S.A. and who leveraged their MIRT experience and contacts to enhance their pursuit of a career as a public health researcher.
